How to Sell Crypto “Withdraw”

There are a few options to sell your crypto and get back to fiat currency depending on your location and type of wallet you’re using. 

• MetaMask wallet in Canada

• MetaMask wallet outside of Canada

• Email Wallet (Fortmatic)

It's important to remember that SX Bet is non-custodial and doesn’t have access to your wallet so this can also serve as a general guide.

MetaMask wallet in Canada

TLDR: Go PayTrie  > Sell USDC.

If you’re in Canada and using a MetaMask, you can easily sell your USDC for fiat currency using PayTrie. If you've been betting in Ethereum no problem, you can head to the Swap page to swap your tokens for USDC. Make sure you have a little bit of SX to cover the cost.

1. Login to PayTrie and select Sell Stablecoins

2. Confirm the SX wallet address that you will be sending from into the provided input box.

3. Select SX-USDC enter the amount of Stablecoins you want to sell and click Swap. Submit your transaction to PayTrie.

4.  PayTrie will send an Interac e-transfer to your email address within 60 minutes of the completed Stablecoin transfer.

MetaMask outside of Canada

TLDR: Bridge USDC to Polygon > Double check Blockchain Network > Sell on Crypto Exchange.

To sell your crypto back into fiat currency you will want to use a Crypto Exchange. In the example below we will use Coinbase, but the steps will be similar on other crypto exchanges as well.

1. Before you can sell, Bridge your USDC or ETH from SX Network to Polygon or Ethereum Network blockchain. *Note the gas fees are usually significantly cheaper using Polygon.

2. Login to your Crypto Exchange account and copy the wallet address. Confirm the token you will be receiving and the blockchain you are sending it from. Always double check you've got the correct Blockchain Network, token and address copied; sending to the wrong network could mean you losing your funds.

3. Open your MetaMask, click on send and confirm the wallet address you're sending from.

4. Paste in your Crypto Exchange wallet address into the "Send To" field

5. Choose the asset you're sending, the amount and confirm the transaction.

It can take a few minutes before your funds appear in your Exchange account. 

6. Sell your crypto on the Exchange for fiat currency.

Email Wallet (Fortmatic)

1. Bridge your USDC or ETH to either the Polygon or Ethereum Network blockchain. “Note the gas fees are cheaper using Polygon.

2. Go to the Assets tab and click Transfer on the currency you’d like to send. 

2. Login to your Crypto Exchange account and copy the wallet address. Confirm the token you will be receiving and the blockchain you are sending it from. Always double check you've got the correct Blockchain Network, token and address copied; sending to the wrong network could mean you losing your funds.

4. Paste in your Crypto Exchange wallet address into the "Address" field

5. Confirm the transaction.

How can I confirm what crypto I’ve sent?

The nice thing about blockchain is that is just one big ledger. Every transaction can be looked up by pasting your wallet address into a blockchain explorer. Use the ones below for SX Network, Ethereum, and Polygon.
